  • Solution: Building a German UPA working group for UX strategy
  • Result: Various publications, workshops, and other outcomes

Applied side of my dissertation UX Research on Digital Concept Mapping

In 2021, I received my Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction about user experience (UX) in digital concept mapping. Besides the academic outcomes of my dissertation, my work at the University of Luxembourg covered a strong UX research component.

  • Challenge: contribute to the development of a digital concept mapping tool as part of an existing assessment platform
  • Solution: human-centred design building on benchmarking, user research, requirements definition, prototyping, testing, and creating further documents to help educators and learners in digital concept mapping
  • Result: solid foundation for further development, based on more than 70 tests with users, and several recommendations
