Anyone in the mood for some new music? I know I am. I recommend the EP by Cults, which is available for free download. It includes three tracks, all dreamy indie pop with chimes and children’s choirs. I love “Go Outside” with its outrageous catchiness, when Madeline Follin’s tender lyrics rise above an unidentifiable babble of voices (a train station concourse?).
Otherwise, there is “Most Wanted,” candy floss poured into music, and “The Curse,” on which a squawking choir answers Follin’s slow singing and sawing guitars take turns with a daring organ.
