Successfully showcasing UX design and UX research work UX Portfolios

“Do I need a portfolio?” is a key question that I am often asked in my courses. Building on studies, desk research, and interviews, I published an article with practical tips and tricks in t3n 77.

In a nutshell

  • Challenge: UX professionals often need to present UX design and UX research portfolios that outline their key skills
  • Solution: Article with practical tips and tricks, based on studies, desk research, and an interview with a portfolio expert
  • Result: Publication in t3n 77 (circulation: 25,000)

As a writer, it is important to base myself on solid evidence. For my article on UX portfolios for the renown t3n magazine, I had conversations with hiring managers, read scientific studies about relevant skills for UX professionals, and interviewed portfolio expert Sebastian Baum who runs a portfolio critique meet-up in Cologne to gather further insights and quotes about UX portfolios. This research allowed me to create an article with a multitude of tips and tricks for creating a successful UX portfolio.
